First, Some Background on Manufacturer’s Paint Colors

After choosing the right paint mix, a professional will spray a small amount on a card and let it dry before applying it immediately to the car. Then, they’ll place the card next to the original paint on the car, in the sunlight. If there are any adjustments needed, now is the time to make them and they will repeat until the proper match is found.
