The Island Lake Slipway is situated between Wilderness and Rondevlei on the Rondevlei back roads. It is part of Wilderness National Park and is thus not only a slipway but a haven for birdwatching and other interesting indigenous plant and animal life. Activities include rowing,fishing, and other boat-related activities. Permits are required for boats and are available from Wilderness National Park offices.
