Hartenbos Beach is located in the holiday village of Hartenbos, just north of Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. This Blue Flag beach offers kilometres of soft white sand and is perfect for long walks, beach games, surfing, and other water sports.



The beach offers demarcated swimming spots, campsites, clean ablutions, plenty of parking, and wheelchair access. The beachfront boasts excellent entertainment facilities such as an indoor pool, supertube, bowling green, tennis courts, an amusement centre, conference facilities, and a stadium for events. There is also a variety of restaurants and shops nearby.



The lagoon that lies along the beautiful Hartenbos River is a great spot for family friendly activities, safe swimming, and is known as a good fishing spot for shad and white steenbras. Other wildlife opportunities at the beach include whale, dolphin, and seal watching, as well as plenty of bird watching.
