Barnyard Kennels is a family run business. Mom and daughters, Marge, Heide and Sasha are active in the day to day operations. We have an excellent team supporting us making sure your doggy, kitty or even birdy are as comfortable and loved as possible.
Marge and Heide live on the farm, just a few metres from the kennels. On a quiet night you can even hear the snoring of the oldies.
Being so close to the kennels allows us to hear if any of our guests are unsettled or restless during the night.
Marge has been an avid animal lover since her school days. Marge actively supports rescue, spay and neuter clinics when called upon by animal organisations. She acquired her SPCA inspectorate at a young age. She assisted a Vet in Paarl by attending the townships and holding clinics to care and help the animals in need.
Marge has also acquired her AWA certificate (Animal welfare certificate).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Whilst all reasonable care and precaution is taken in looking after the animal/s at Barnyard Kennels, it is distinctly understood that no liability is incurred by the Proprietors in respect of any loss or damage to the animal/s through sickness, escape, or from any cause whatsoever
2. If your animals have shown signs of aggression amongst each other, it is your duty and responsibility to warn us in R102, Airport Road 6529 George, advance so that we can prevent possible altercations. Please be advised that Barnyard Kennels will not be liable for any accounts, injury or loss should your own dogs fight with each other.
3. No responsibility will be taken for collars, leads, containers or medication etc. left at the premises. It is your responsibility to remember what you brought along.
4. Only pets that are up to date with all their annual vaccinations and KENNEL COUGH VACCINATION, will be accepted at our facilities. Vaccinations must be done at least two weeks prior to check in date. Proof of such must be provided. Accommodation for pets can be refused if not adhered to.
5. Please ensure that you tell us about any niggles, coughs etc, however trivial as it may cause us concern while you are away.

If you are looking for a one of kind experience, than this is the place to be. You don’t have to pay. You can bring carrots as payment for the donkeys. There is even cats and dogs who stays there in the kennels. Just be careful of some of the donkeys are cheeky. They might even eating your hat.
