Jubilee Creek Picnic Spot

Jubilee Creek is a beautiful picnic spot in the Knysna forest.Named after Queen Victoria in 1887,this was the site of much activity during the Millwood gold rush and the evidence can still be seen.Situated alongside a stream, this site is very popular for all, with braai facilities and toilets.The stream is perfect for the children to splash about and there are walks along the river.Hidden in the forest,you might even sight a rare Knysna elephant-one of them was seen here in March 2007!

Buffalo Bay Beach

Buffalo Bay Beach is about half way between Knysna & Sedgefield. Offers unspoiled seaside scenery, safe swimming and superb surfing conditions. Dolphins are frequently spotted and Southern Right whales visit this section of the Cape coast annually between May & November. Here you'll see some of the highest vegetated sand dunes in the world.
This is a stunning beach in a small bay. Safe for swimming and there are life gaurds in season. Very popular for fishing off the rocks,surfing, paddle skiing, kite surfing and has a jetty.


Woodville Big Tree Knysna

This 31-m-high Outeniqua yellowwood (Podocarpus falcatus) is one of several yellowwoods in the Knysna and Tsitsikamma forests that qualifies for the title of Big Tree. With a circumference of 9 m, it is estimated to be more than 800 years old. Self issued permits at gate, braai area and toilets.


Green Hole Picnic Area

A Family friendly picnic spot situated in one of the most scenic areas in the Garden Route. Dogs allowed, braai areas available and very safe for swimming. Toilet facilities available and close to one of the best fishing spots around.


Coney Beach

Coney Beach is situated at the bottom of The Heads and is one of only two beaches you'll find in Knysna. It is small but very scenic and is not safe for swimming, but a good place to go fishing. At the top there are braais and tables and a board walk that leads to the beach.


The Heads Lookout Point

The Heads lookout point are situated on the eastern side of The Heads. It has 3 decks over looking this beautifull estuary and magistic cliffs with it's caves.
