The club is registered with South Western Districts Cycling and Cycling South Africa, and although most of our members are licenced we welcome social members and families (especially children). We support all disciplines of cycling, in particular road cycling and mountainbiking which includes cross country and marathons.

Depending on the season and specific events, emphasis shifts between road cycling and mountainbiking.

Operation Teddy Bear Care is in Sedgefield. Our believe is that each child needs a teddy bear to tell their secrets to. To-date we have given 1890 handmade Teddy bears to children in need. This all started 2 years ago when we hand made 20 teddy bears and started our journey in a giving challenge This giving challenge has been so inspiring not only helping us but by helping others as well. Our addition challenge now is training others in making teddy bears which we sell in our shop,thus helping them to supplement their income and helping them build their self confidence.

Busy-Bugz is a registered early childhood development centre catering for children from a few weeks to five years old. We are a Christian-based, dual medium (English and Afrikaans) facility conveniently situated on the premises of the Sedgefield Primary School.

Formerly known as the Sedgefield Pre-Primary School and in existence since 1992, Busy-Bugz is a community-based school run as an association with a governing body consisting of parents and educators.

Qualified, dedicated and loving staff provide care, life skills and education in a fun-filled and safe environment. All staff have first aid training. Emphasis is placed on learning through play and social interaction, and includes daily language activity, school readiness, music, creative activities and story time. Our playground encourages a wide range of physical activities and includes jungle gyms, swings, a sand pit and a separate play area for the very little ones.

Busy-Bugz also offers after-school care for children up to the age of six, which includes free play and additional fun activities.

The school receives children from 7.30am and allows for free play until 8.45am when formal learning programmes start. There is a 10am break time and again at noon when the formal day programme is complete. After-care is available from 12.15 to 5pm at additional cost.

The school is divided into four classes to cater for the specific needs of different age groups:

The Butterfly Class provides a loving and caring environment for babies of a few weeks to two years old. Caregivers have been specifically selected for their special gift of loving and caring for the very young, and are experienced and dedicated. To ensure personal care in a homely environment, a maximum of ten babies is cared for in this section.

The Caterpillar Class provides early education and fun (and even potty training) for children between the ages of two and three. A teacher, supported by an efficient and loving assistant, ensure that learning is a fun yet dynamic experience. No more than 20 children are cared for in this group.

The Dragonfly Class provides basic education and activities for children between the ages of three and four. Although 25 children can be accommodated in this class, the group is really much smaller and provide excellent one-on-one time with the teacher.

In addition to all the fun stuff, the Beetle Class places emphasis on school readiness, which is incorporated in the children’s daily activities. This class caters for age group four to five and also allows for 25 children but is generally much smaller, ensuring ample attention and assistance.

Our mission is to create safer environments for all creatures in the garden route.
We monitor and patrol land on foot and by vehicle we de`snare land and set up ambushes for poachers if possible.
We monitor and prevent illegal activities from taking place on our clients land as well as arrest any schedule 1 offenders.

We are trying to get a system going in the garden route where all companies and private land owners take responsibility for their lands and actively participate in making sure illegal activities are put to a stop.
