Rondevlei Bird Hide Wilderness

Rondevlei Bird Hide is a rectangular wooden hide with windows on three sides and situated in reed-beds. This is one of several bird hides in the lakes area. Highlights: Seasonal roosting of African Spoonbills, Southern Pochard, Hottentot Teal, Pied and Malachite Kingfisher.


Malachite Birdhide Wilderness

The Malachite Kingfisher hide is situated on the northern shore of Langvlei (lake) and is accessible via a sturdy boardwalk. A great variety of water birds can be viewed here. Parking for several at entrance.


Rondevlei Culvert Wilderness

Reedbeds and channel between with access to open shallow water with waders. Highlights: African Purple Swamphen, Little Grebe, Pearl Throated Swallow, Bokmakierie, Orange Throated Longclaw, African Stonechat, African Fish Eagle, Levaillants Cisticola
