Acting and speaking for those who have no voice, the society engages in rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing where possible,education programs and daily clinics, as well as operating a sterilization program which operates on a weekly basis, servicing the areas that fall between Sedgefield to the west of Knysna and Harkerville to the east. Besides responding to distressed call-outs from the public, the society is often also driven to engage in the welfare of larger animals, that although not falling within their jurisdiction, cannot likewise be ignored.

Operation Teddy Bear Care is in Sedgefield. Our believe is that each child needs a teddy bear to tell their secrets to. To-date we have given 1890 handmade Teddy bears to children in need. This all started 2 years ago when we hand made 20 teddy bears and started our journey in a giving challenge This giving challenge has been so inspiring not only helping us but by helping others as well. Our addition challenge now is training others in making teddy bears which we sell in our shop,thus helping them to supplement their income and helping them build their self confidence.
